The children have settled remarkably well into Year 1 and have made a fantastic start to the new term!
We have launched our topic, Childhood, by focusing on ourselves and what makes each of us unique. In Art, the children explored various pencil drawing techniques before using mirrors to closely observe their features and create detailed self-portraits. Using the mirrors was a real highlight, and the children thoroughly enjoyed bringing their drawings to life.
In Maths, we have been building our sorting skills by grouping different objects by their colour, size, and type
