Summer 1 Week 3

🐛 A Super-Powered Week in Class!

We’ve had so much fun diving into the world of Superworm this week! The children have been busy little worms with all sorts of creative and messy play. We spent time rolling out playdough to make our very own worms in all different shapes and sizes. Superworm tuff tray: The children loved getting stuck into our themed sensory tray. We practiced our “pincher” grips by threading Cheerios onto pipe cleaners to create some very crunchy-looking Superworms. The children did a great job comparing their worms and using math language like short, long, and longest.

🌱 Nature Watch

It’s not just about worms, though! We’ve been keeping a close eye on our classroom nature projects:

Caterpillar Update: We are fascinated watching our caterpillars transform into chrysalises. We can’t wait to see what happens next!

Beanstalks: Our little beans are reaching for the sky as we track how much they’ve grown.

Eggs hatching into little chicks.
