The children had so much fun practicing their fine motor skills by tracing paths to help the Gingerbread Man run away, and our role-play area turned into a very busy bakery where everyone loved pretending to bake yummy treats. We also got creative by making masks of all the different characters from the book, which led to some fantastic acting and storytelling during playtime. To top it all off, we practiced our early math skills with some clever Gingerbread Man number-matching games. With the weather warming up, we also took some time to talk about how to stay safe and healthy in the sun.
