This week, the Nursery children have been immersed in the story of Six Dinner Sid. Inspired by Sid’s adventures, the children eagerly participated in veterinary role-play, developing empathy, language, and social skills as they cared for their toy animals. Their learning extended into expressive arts and emotional development as they played the ‘Sandy Boy and Sandy Girl’ game and painted emotion faces to explore and discuss different feelings. The children also practiced their fine motor precision and spatial awareness by using lollipop sticks to construct house shapes. It has been a wonderful week filled with interactive learning, creative expression, and playful discovery.
