This week in Nursery, our learning was inspired by the wonderful story ‘The Leaf Thief.’ The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring an Autumn-themed sensory tuff tray filled with natural items such as leaves, acorns, and conkers. They expressed their creativity through leaf rubbings using real leaves and crayons, and developed early mathematical skills by creating repeating leaf and acorn patterns. Mark-making was also a key focus, with the children demonstrating excellent pencil grip while tracing lines on pictures of leaves, trees, and rakes. To complete a brilliant week, the children arrived dressed in vibrant Autumn colours and showed fantastic community spirit by bringing in food donations for our Harvest collection.
