This week, our Nursery children continued their seasonal learning journey focused on Autumn. A key highlight was an Autumn Walk, where the children explored nature first-hand through bark rubbing, observing the changing colours of the leaves, and listening closely to environmental sounds. In mathematics, the children developed their counting and numeral recognition skills by matching groups of pine cones to their corresponding numbers up to 3. Creative fine-motor development was embedded as they crafted hedgehog models using playdough and spaghetti pieces. To round off the week, the children engaged in imaginative small-world play with a countryside train-themed tuff tray, encouraging rich descriptive language and cooperative play.
